The CO is a sound that is new to Nashville, in a sense that it is not brimming from a whiskey glass of honky tonk banter. It is what founding members Brace and Akers refer to as a new term…the “Nashville Sound”. Uncompromising on lyrical content, The CO is pushing to the forefront the idea that within Nashville is a fire burning up of a genre that is bigger than the city limits. “We see our music reaching out across state lines, in countries across the world…that’s why we say this music is on a global stage…because it’s about something that everyone feels, and we look to show that, and sing that with every ounce of us when we perform. We feel it every time we sit down with a melody haunting our thoughts”, says Akers.
This sentiment seems to be coming into fruition for The CO. A feature on Tyler Ward’s immensely popular website has boosted band onto the National radar, with a follow-up duet with Tyler recorded by Sorted Noise landing over half a million views. Sorted Noise has partnered with these epic pop/rock creators on a number of film and television song-ventures and is currently working on a new EP with the group. Their Sorted Noise-produced song “Be OK” is the official anthem for the Missouri Chapter of the Red Cross’ efforts for Tornado relief and the group is proud to participate in the funding of these vital relief efforts.
